One of the key values at Adventures Guatemala is to SERVE the people of Guatemala.

One of the ways is by installing stoves.

Many families cook over an open fire, putting women and children at risk of getting burned. The smoke produced by these fires damages the lungs of those within close proximity of the cooking site. We seek to install stoves in the homes of families with whom we have a relationship, to provide a personal element that opens the door for evangelism and discipleship.

Smoke inhalation is the second leading cause of death in Guatemala. With the stoves installation program it is made possible to get all of the smoke out of the homes. To create a safe space for the mom to cook and the kids to play.

The second way that we SERVE  is by installing water filters.

Clean water costs money and is not easily accessible for a lot of families.  As a result families all over Guatemala are using unclean water to cook and drink. With these water filters families are able to enjoy clean and safe drinking water.

I am so super duper thankful to be a part of a ministry that goes and meets the physical needs of others while also pouring into the spiritual lives of these families. Sharing the gospel and discipling the beautiful families of Guatemala.  1 Peter 4:10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace

Mathew 28:19 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

If you would like to know more about Adventures Guatemala and what I will be doing with them when I move to serve full time please reach out and ask me anything you would like.

Thank you for reading this!

Would you please be praying for the people of Guatemala and specifically over a town named Jocotenango. This town has been on my heart to pray over this week so I want to invite you to pray with me. Jocotenango is a dark place but as we know, God’s light overcomes all the darkness in this world. John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it

Right now I am still fundraising.I need $500 more a month. I am looking for people who feel led to join my monthly support team by donating $20 $40 $60 or $100 a month.

If you feel led to sign up you can do that here on my blog site or reach out to me at (903)-987-5727. Anything and everything helps. Once I have enough committed people donating monthly I will head back to Guatemala to start serving and discipling.

I love you and am so blessed by you and thankful for you!!!!

Have a great week!!
