A core value that we have at Adventures in missions is discipleship. When I move to Guatemala full time one of my Priorities will be discipling the women of our gap year program.
These photos are from December of 2019 during my gap year . My first time in Guatemala. I lived at the Adventures in missions base for three months and every day the staff there would pour into me. I learned what it was to be discipled and then go out and disciple others. Spending time at adventures in missions was one of the most impactful times of my life. The Lord used that time with the staff to change my life completely.
I learned how to cement myself into the word of God, I was made aware of how to walk throughout my daily / busy life but to never be too focused on what I am doing and be open to what the Holy Spirit is doing. To walk in my true identity as a daughter of Christ, to partner with Jesus everywhere I go.
Fast forward a couple years later and now I get to go and be on staff with adventures in missions. Walking beside young women right out of high school discovering who Jesus is. I will be going to ministry to ministry them, and translating but more importantly intentionally discipling them. Wow thank you Jesus that I get to be a part of what you are doing in Guatemala !!????
